Description
The AC Milan 2000-01 shirt is the adidas home kit from the season Andriy Shevchenko scored 24 in Serie A and Milan put six past Inter in the derby. This retro reissue brings back the red-and-black stripes, the three-stripe detailing and the Opel sponsor exactly as they looked at San Siro that year.
AC Milan 2000-01 shirt — the turn-of-the-century classic
After the Lotto years, adidas gave Milan a cleaner, more modern look: bold stripes, a smart collar and the three stripes down the sleeves. The 2000–01 version sits right in the middle of the Shevchenko era, before the Champions League wins, and has become a favourite with fans who grew up on early-2000s Serie A. The season it belongs to
It wasn’t a title year — Alberto Zaccheroni was sacked in March and Cesare Maldini steered the team to sixth — but it produced one of the most famous results in Milan history: the 6–0 derby win over Inter in May 2001, with Shevchenko and Comandini scoring twice each. Sheva finished as the club’s top scorer, Gattuso and Albertini ran the midfield, and Paolo Maldini captained the side. For the derby alone, this shirt earns its place in any Milan collection.

Shirts are replicas and not official football jerseys, however after purchasing a second shirt from this website and realising they were replicas & not being impressed with the quality, I emailed the company. The company dealt with this great and apologised for the confusion on the authenticity of the shirts and offered to send me a free shirt of my choice. I think perhaps the website should be clearer that the shirts are not real as I wouldn’t have paid what I did for the previous two, however I must say the customer service was great. They replied fast and exactly 2 weeks later I received the free shirt I chose, hence why I’ve left a 4 star review :)
