The AC Milan 1996-97 shirt is the away kit from one of the most star-studded and strangest seasons in the club’s modern history. Weah, Baggio, Savićević, Boban and Maldini all wore it, Sacchi came back mid-season, and Milan still finished eleventh. This retro reissue brings back the clean white Lotto design with the Opel sponsor exactly as it looked on the road that year.

Milan’s mid-90s away shirts have aged far better than the results did. The 1996–97 away is a simple white body with red-and-black detailing, the Lotto branding and the classic 90s collar — understated enough to wear anywhere, unmistakably Milan up close. The season it belongs to
Fabio Capello left for Real Madrid in summer 1996 and Milan brought in Óscar Tabárez, then Arrigo Sacchi for a second spell. Roberto Baggio and George Weah were joined by Christophe Dugarry, Edgar Davids and Michael Reiziger, but the champions slid to eleventh. It’s the season that closed the door on the 90s dynasty — which is exactly why the shirt has a cult following among fans who remember the names on the back rather than the league table.

Shirts are replicas and not official football jerseys, however after purchasing a second shirt from this website and realising they were replicas & not being impressed with the quality, I emailed the company. The company dealt with this great and apologised for the confusion on the authenticity of the shirts and offered to send me a free shirt of my choice. I think perhaps the website should be clearer that the shirts are not real as I wouldn’t have paid what I did for the previous two, however I must say the customer service was great. They replied fast and exactly 2 weeks later I received the free shirt I chose, hence why I’ve left a 4 star review :)

I ordered a shirt which turned out to be the wrong size, I enquired to request an exchange to the next size up, I received a quick response from Jon who said he'll send out the new size at no extra cost, he also said I could keep the original shirt or give it to charity without needed to send back.
I felt this was a very kind gesture which I didn't ask for, and they didn't need to do.
