The Mexico 2004 Home Shirt in Classic Green
The Mexico 2004 home shirt is El Tri at its most recognisable. It combines the famous green body with all three national colours in the trim. Mexico wore it in key international fixtures between 2004 and 2006. For example, it featured at the 2004 Copa América in Peru and the 2005 Confederations Cup in Germany.
The La Volpe Era
This was the Ricardo La Volpe era, when Mexico played brave, attacking football. Rafael Márquez organised the defence, while Pavel Pardo controlled the midfield. Behind them, Oswaldo Sánchez kept goal. Up front, Jared Borgetti was the focal point. His header famously beat Brazil 1-0 at the 2005 Confederations Cup. After that, Mexico reached the semi-finals, where they drew 1-1 with Argentina. However, they went out on penalties. Even so, for a generation of fans, this remains the defining look of that team.
Design Details
At first glance, the rich green body does the talking. However, the details reward a closer look. First, a white crew collar with a red inner neck puts all three flag colours at the throat. Next, fine red piping runs from each shoulder down the front. In addition, each sleeve carries a white flash and a red cuff. The crest sits in the centre of the chest, and a curved drop hem finishes the shirt.

Shirts are replicas and not official football jerseys, however after purchasing a second shirt from this website and realising they were replicas & not being impressed with the quality, I emailed the company. The company dealt with this great and apologised for the confusion on the authenticity of the shirts and offered to send me a free shirt of my choice. I think perhaps the website should be clearer that the shirts are not real as I wouldn’t have paid what I did for the previous two, however I must say the customer service was great. They replied fast and exactly 2 weeks later I received the free shirt I chose, hence why I’ve left a 4 star review :)
Four stars only because of the initial murky tracking information which stressed me out. The products arrived within the expected timeframe and they are just as expected. Overall I'm a happy customer and have palced a second order.
